Ed Matricardi is President of Allied Public Affairs, which provides strategic communications, government affairs and grassroots field services for corporations, trade associations and non-profit organizations, including Bill & Melinda Gates’ “Strong American Schools” campaign and T. Boone Pickens’ campaign for energy independence.
Prior to founding Allied Public Affairs, Mr. Matricardi spent five years with DCI Group, LLC where he managed multi-state public affairs campaigns for several Fortune 50 companies and built a bipartisan field network of state-based political professionals in all 50 states.
Mr. Matricardi has served in a wide variety of legal, governmental and political positions, including practicing law with the law firm of Matricardi, Kruck & Moylan; serving as Special Assistant to the Governor of Virginia; managing a state agency (Virginia Department of Professional & Occupational Regulation); running day to day operations as executive director for two state political parties (Republican Party of Virginia and South Carolina Republican Party); teaching a class at Yale Law School about the modern judicial nomination process; serving as an instructor for political operatives across the country at the RNC’s Campaign Management College; staffing the last 5 Republican National Conventions in a variety of roles, including Chief Deputy Whip, Deputy Sergeant at Arms and Chief Whip on the Rules Committee; and working in senior positions with more than 85 political campaigns as well as hundreds of corporate campaigns over 25 years.
